Description of the 5th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia period 1988-1993, he had long enough to accompany President Suharto while in power until after his resignation, both as Minister of State, Secretary of State and Vice President and Coordinator of foundations established Mr. Harto. Mr. Dar, her nickname, was elected Vice President after successfully leading the DPP Golkar with absolute victory on Election 1987.

After that, he had served as a judge advocate.

Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Sudharmono SH, Vice President of Development Cabinet V (11 March 1988-11 March 1993), died at Metropolitan Hospital Medical Centre (MMC), Kuningan, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at 19:40.
