foto Ratna Sari Dewi Soekarno Ratna Sari Dewi with her Japanese purebred has real name of Naoko Nemoto, was the fifth wife of a former first president of the Republic of Indonesia Ir. Sukarno, she was born in Tokyo, on February 6, 1940. She married with Sukarno in 1962 and then she registered with a full name of Ratna Sari Dewi Sukarno, had her address at Shibuya-Ku, Kamiyama-Cho, 31-1, Tokyo.
What about Naoko Nemoto? She was such a perfect geisha in the eyes of Sukarno. Her beauty was so stunning, so Sukarno has no power to muffle his desire of ardent love. The Japanese girl was born in 1940, as the third daughter of a migrant construction worker in Tokyo. She born from a modest family, thus Naoko should worked as a saleswoman for a life insurance company in Chiyoda, until she graduated from her secondary school in 1955.
One year later, she resigned, and blinded up with geisha profession at the great Akasaka Copacabana, one of the favorite nightclub frequently visited by foreign visitors. Sukarno came to this club on June 16, 1959. He met Naoko and he felt in love. After that, Bung Karno still met Naoko twice at the Imperial Hotel, where the Bung Karno stay. However, another version says, the second meeting was occurred a year before, in the same place.
After his tour for two weeks, President Sukarno returned to Jakarta. But really, his heart remained at the Tokyo ... his heart attached to the pretty girl owner of soft piercing eyes and sticky lasting smile. As usual, Bung Karno expressing his feeling with love letters. A respond love. Such referred sign captured by him through a reply letter from Naoko.
Soon, Bung Karno immediately sent a invitation to Naoko to visit Indonesia. Sukarno even accompanied her on a trip to the resort island. The seeds of love blossomed in the fertile heart of both. Especially when Naoko received a marriage proposal from Bung Karno, and changed her name into Soekarno�s name. From Naoko Nemoto into Ratna Sari Dewi. People then called her as Dewi Sukarno. There are tw version on the date of their marriage. One said, they both got married secretly on March 3, 1962, in conjunction with the inauguration of the use of her new name: Ratna Sari Dewi following Indonesian citizenship rights. Other sources said that they were legally married in May 1964. Presumably, the first source was the true one.
Apart from when Bung Karno married Ratna Sari Dewi, however, Bung Karno love her so overwhelming. If he stated to Hartini to be buried alongside with her tomb, then to Ratna Sari Dewi, Bung Karno stated to be burried in the same hole.
In fact, Hartini and Ratna Sari Dewi were so emotionally involved in the last days of Bung Karno�s life. Hartini has been faithfully accompanying him until his death. Hartini also know, in his semi-conscious state of his lately life, Bung Karno whispered the name of Ratna Sari Dewi. It was known also by Rachmawati.
Rachmawati, daughter of Bung Karno, the one of the most intense accompany his father at the end of life, her heart was melted. No more feeling of "hate" to Hartini and Ratna Sari Dewi. Rachma conscious, his father loved both Hartini and Dewi, as of the same he loves her mother, Fatmawati.
The romance of Bung Karno - Ratna Sari Dewi gave birth of a beautiful girl namely Kartika Sari Dewi or familiarly called as Karina. Bung Karno has opportunity to rock the little baby Kartika, although his journey of live made him impossible to stay aside her growing up into a beautiful girl, intelligent with a very high social life.
